‘Success’, one of the most sought-after things in life or rather the only sought-after thing. However, people fail to understand that success is not just a final result but a subjective set of several achievements. What you consider failure could be an achievement for others and vice-versa.

It’s not only a monetary attainment but your self-satisfaction too. And, it should be noted that success has no final stage but is a journey towards the better self.

“Belief in oneself is one of the most important bricks in building any successful venture.” – Lydia M. Child

But, who will decide those success parameters? Don’t give too much of thought it’s YOU. No other person should decide how successful you are. However, sometimes even you may remain unaware of your already achieved success milestones and keep running towards the unachieved goals. One should be aware of and value what he/she has achieved. Few of such unrealised accomplishments are below:

  1. You love your job even if the promotion is still underachieved

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” – Pele

Are you as happy on Mondays as you are on weekends? Do you feel happy with your job? If yes, then congrats! This is the most important thing required for a job. Appraisals, promotions are a one-time thing, it’s about feeling satisfied every time you enter your work space.

  1. You breathe, eat, and sleep peacefully

Whatever your strive for they all are nothing without a peaceful sleep. Millions in bank account won’t essentially give you peace. Getting the basic comfort life of proper food, water and sleep are important more than anything else. However, not everyone gets them. So if you have them, be thankful.

  1. You’re still focused even after 5 failures

Success is not the absence of failure; it’s the persistence through failure.” – Aisha Tyler

You may have faced failure quite often. May it be in love or job or cracking an exam. Others may think of you as a failure and even you would. But are you still working towards your goal? If yes, then you still haven’t given up. Failure is only when you give up and stop working towards your goals.

  1. You face people even if they laugh at you

“Seventy percent of success in life is showing up.” – Woody Allen

People talk, they will, no matter what you become. One has to face them confidently. Whatever you do is for your own good and not to satisfy others. Here in, if you have given up thinking “what will others say”, then you already have crossed another essential milestone of true success.

  1. You remain yourself, irrespective of what others say

They may say you’re short or dark or point out to any other physical characteristics. However, if you remain unmoved, and don’t give heat to what others think, then this is a sign of true success. People with luxurious cars and still thinking about others opinion have still not tasted what actual success is. It’s all about defeating people’s demotivating opinion about you.

  1. You are confident and not arrogant

There’s a thin line between being confident and arrogant. If you’re confident of what you’ve may it be less, it’s the wisest thing to achieve. Being arrogant as you have high bank balance and classy cars are just evident of utter sense of superiority. This will eventually lead you nowhere. If you have the true confidence then success is already half-way achieved.

  1. You value what you’ve right now

One always seems to be chasing the next big thing. They remain unsatisfied with what they have and always aim for the bigger and the better piece. Amidst such high ambitions, they lose the value of what they have now materialistic perspective, not success.

If you know the worth of your low-priced cars, small house, then this is where actual success lies. Aim higher but don’t lose the value of your present.
